This course teaches trauma‑informed assessment, phase‑based stabilization, somatic and cognitive‑EMDR adaptations, cultural safety for Indigenous and immigrant clients, and integrated relapse prevention for complex trauma within addiction treatment. Requirements
- Current clinical role or enrolment in a Canadian health/social services program (counsellor, nurse, social worker, allied health or equivalent).
- Foundational knowledge of trauma‑informed care and basic competencies in addiction or mental health assessment (prior introductory TIC training recommended).
